How long does it take to have a treatment?
You will need to allow 2 hours for your first procedure. If you intend on having a full face, please allow 3.5 hours.
What happens on the day of treatment?
I will measure your facial anatomy and plot out and draw your individual eyebrow design. I believe semi-permanent make-up should look as natural as possible and be an enhancement of your natural beauty. The shape and colour are agreed prior to starting the procedure.
Do you remove all my existing eyebrow hair?
In creating natural looking eyebrows, it is a benefit to use as much of the natural eyebrow hair and shape as possible, therefore only anything outside the drawn and agreed shape is removed.
Do they scab?
A couple of days after treatment, the hair strokes feel slightly raised to touch (a little like a healing papercut) this isn’t noticeable other than by touch. Around day 7 these start to very lightly flake away to reveal the brow.
What happens after treatment?
After treatment, you return within 4-6 weeks for a colour boost. This takes approximately 1 hour to ensure perfection.
Does it hurt?
Some clients feel no discomfort at all – others feel minimal discomfort. On a scale of 1-10, some clients rate discomfort as a 3, like having your eyebrows plucked. Topical anaesthetic is used to control pain tolerance prior to and during treatment. Once the procedure is complete there is no discomfort whatsoever.
Do I need time off work?
NO! Any redness usually disappears immediately or within an hour after treatment at the most.
How long does it last?
Semi-permanent make-up should last for several years. Over that time the colour will fade and break down. It is suggested that you come back for a “top-up” procedure every 12 months/18 months to keep the look complete and fresh. A “top up” appointment is half the current full treatment price.
Do I need to still pluck?
It is essential that you still pluck, wax or thread your eyebrows regularly to keep your brows looking fantastic. The colour and shape will make this effortless as you simply need to remove anything outside of the new brow shape, or we can do this for you in the salon every 4-6 weeks.
What about aftercare?
You will be given a comprehensive aftercare guide after the treatment, along with verbal instructions.
Is it expensive?
It is not expensive in comparison to how long it will last you. It does not run, smudge, or wash off.
